Open Arms has functioned as a faith based charitable organization since 1996, sheltering homeless families and providing supportive services. We apply the old adage, "Feed a man a fish, you've given him a meal, teach him how to fish, you've fed him for a lifetime."

Dear Neighbors,
Open Arms Outreach is reaching out to the business community with the hopes of establishing financial partners in our efforts to truly help displaced families in the New Hampshire Lakes Region. It is widely known in the greater Laconia area that if you are in need of help or guidance to give Open Arms a call.

Who are we?

Outreach, Inc. is a 501(C) 3 non-profit, charitable organization. We are faith based, delivering real help to the poor in our own community. Our mission is to “restore the rejected” with compassion and truth. We submit to a yearly outside audit by a CPA, and that report is available upon request. We have a Certificate of Good Standing with the Secretary of State’s office in this current year as we have had each year in the past.

What is our target mission?

After eleven years of working with homeless families we have refocused to minister primarily to the refugees that are legally New Americans in our community. These are the world-class poor who have been displaced through no fault of their own, who need help with basic needs, education, language instruction and job placement. We offer supportive housing and nutritional food, transportation and coordination in a multi-tenant building that is a caring community for their new start. We also minister to any marginalized person or family that needs help and a listening ear.

What do we do with donations?

We receive grants that are restricted in usage. For example staff salaries or operational costs come from specific grants. Individual donors can select from a variety of needs and those funds are then designated. Presently we are looking for partners to help with our operational costs, transportation and our direct benevolence fund.

How can my business donate?

We encourage regular monthly or quarterly givers. Of course one time gifts are always appreciated. Contact our office and we will customize a plan of giving that suits your needs. We are willing to partner with you in complete accountability should you decide to be a donor. We will affirm that all funds will be used for their designated purpose. And since we are helping your “neighbors” we invite you to check us out on site.

How do we get started?
