Joseph House in Lakeport at 756-8 Union Ave. is centrally located in the heart of Laconia, NH near the shores of Lake Opechee. It offers large furnished apartments affordably priced to refugee and asylee families who have begun their journey as New Americans.

In residence we offer the following services:

1. Nutritional Food Pantry including fruits, vegetables, cheese, bread and meat, free of charge
2. Transportation to vital services including doctors, schools and human services etc.
3. Coordination in the community for job referrals, language instruction, church and community gatherings for acculturation
4. Clothing , furniture and other essentials
5. Office helps with phone, fax, copier and internet access. The building offers free wireless connectivity.
6. Most importantly, Hospitality

Goal: Our supportive housing helps transition New Americans by establishing basic needs and opportunities in an environment of hospitality, education, and peer support. The hopeful outcome is a strengthened family ready to contribute to American society.
